It’s like breaking up with an old boyfriend, that one who all your friends told you was bad news. Sure, he was handsome and drove a nice car, and he was so sweet, but I always knew I needed to move on. I decided the best way forward was to start seeing less of him and eventually, maybe we could just be friends and see each other in smaller doses.
That’s how it is with me and sugar. I love sweets but I also know that the less sugar I consume, the better. So every time I bake something sweet, I try it with less sugar and it always works. I’ve been noting this in the recipes so if you’re using an older recipe, please check the latest version to see if it works with less sugar. The less sugar, the better… just like bad boyfriends. 😍
Hi Jenny, I would like to know where did you buy your cutting board because I struggle having to knead the dough on my kitchen counter. I’m also having trouble for the dough to rise. Bought a thermometer to measure the water temperature. Can I make cinnamon rolls without the yeast?
Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello Jenny! I love your recipes! Is there a way for you to post a blueberry pie recipe? I love your apple pie, but I really need a blueberry pie recipe for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’d appreciate it so much!
Best,
Susan Dorman
I reduced sugar as well. I understand. I’ve been using Monkfruit as my sugar replacement and it’s been great.
Give it a try if you haven’t or are curious.
I need help. When doing the no knead bread recipe, mine never rises or forms little bubbles on the top
Please see the FAQs.
I just made a batch of chocolate date cookies recently that were very good. On the other hand, I purchased a bag of dates at Costco (to reduce sugar) and it took me forever to get through them. Not quite as fun when I’m always trying to use a product up. If I purchase again, I’ll get a much smaller quantity. Still, I never would have tried the cookie recipe if I hadn’t been actively searching for ways to use the dates.
I too am trying to reduce my addiction to sugar. Thank you for your great recipes.
Hi Jenny – l am working this too – my Dad owned a bakery so l was doomed from the start. But l love your recipes and your healthy living attitude- sometimes an occasional bad boy date can be fun – just don’t move in with him 🤓🌸❤️
