Oven-Baked Doughnuts

I saw this doughnut pan at Bed Bath & Beyond and although I was skeptical, I decided to try it. Well… THAT was a good idea! I love these healthy oven-baked doughnuts. The only down side is that they are so light, it’s too easy to eat three – I’m not kidding. Click here for the recipe. – Jenny Jones

Sweet Potato Fries – Oven Roasted

Did you know that oven roasting sweet potatoes (all vegetables in fact) brings out their sugars so these fries will be sweeter than the fried ones, and so much healthier? If you’re looking for healthy sweet potato fries, just roast them in the oven. It’s a simple, easy recipe. Click here for the recipe. – Jenny Jones

Barbeque Chicken Pizza

I make pizza often and using different methods. This one is made using a pizza stone and wooden peel for that nice charred crust, but the same recipe can be made using a regular pizza pan, preferably the kind with holes in it. My healthy barbeque chicken pizza is so good, I don’t wait for leftover chicken. I cook chicken just so I make this delicious pizza. Click here for the recipe. – Jenny Jones

I made granola bars!

Chewy Granola Bars RecipeI tried making granola bars a few years ago and they were, let’s just say… a little crisp. It took some effort to actually bite into them but there was no way to determine if the extreme crunch was the bar or one of my teeth. So I gave up, but only for a while because I am not a quitter. I challenged myself to make a healthy, crunchy, chewy granola bar that wouldn’t double as a tire iron. I did it. It took a few tries but I finally came up with this easy recipe and you can customize it a bunch of different ways with different nuts, dried fruit, even chocolate chips. I use the mini chocolate chips but Denis always wants the big ones. Maybe when the garage gets cleaned out…

Homemade breadsticks

Wanna try something fun? Do you love crunchy food? I know I do and my sesame seed breadsticks are too good not to share, so here is a new video that shows how to make these awesome, crispy, crunchy breadsticks. I must have my breadsticks available at all times so when I’m down to the last two, it’s time to make more. If I do run out, I suffer a sad sense of emptiness at dinner because my salad doesn’t taste right without them. They’re like a giant crouton on a stick. In fact, when we go out to dinner, I’m not opposed to carrying a little breadstick baggie in my purse to accompany my salad. Make that a tightly-sealed baggie – we’ve learned that lesson in the past. 🙂 Enjoy the video! Click here
