Photo of the Week

Polish PierogiHere is my choice for photo of the week. First of all, it’s pierogi! Anyone who’s Polish knows what a treat they are to eat and how much effort they take to make. I haven’t had them myself in months and this photo of the pierogi, browned in a pan with either bacon bits or fried onions, is exactly the way I had them growing up. Diane sent in these pictures along with her own photo and this touching note: “Just a Polish girl fighting cancer during a pandemic with people like you and the grace of God. ? Thank You.”

Diane, I hope my recipe brought you the same comfort it always brings me and I wish you the very best in your journey. ❤️?❤️

Good Morning Jenny, Just want you to know how much my husband and I enjoy your fun and bright style during your baking/cooking videos, I love you bright towels/bowls too.My husband has been making your breads and I never realized it was with your help 🙂
In honor of my mother, I made her Italian Bread recipe for mothers day. Hadn’t made it in over 10 years. Did it the old way of mixiing(punching bread), rising 2 times etc.Took me from 11:30 am, to on the table at 5 pm. I also made one long loaf to cut in half long way while hot out of the oven, drizzle EVOO, fresh oregano from the garden, and very thin sliced Fontanella cheese-all placed on both sides. Then close it and slice it in 1.5 in peices for all to enjoy as part of dinner(.Panni Consata) My mom was so passionate about baking and loved staying home-thus making bread was so fun for her. I am more of a nature nut however , I do enjoy feeding friends and family with all of my moms great traditional Sicilian/Itailian recipes!!
I went for a walk with a neighbor yesterday and she was asking for my husbands fast bread recipe-he guided me to your video 🙂 and thats when I figured it all out. I have subscribed to your blog and plan to try all of your recipes. No need to respond as I know you are busy-just wanted to share this with you! Thank you for your light heart bright and cheerful style, Peace, Tony & Zina from Romeo , MI
